untitled(corner) 2002 was an installation painting made for the untitled(space) gallery’s final show before it moved to a new location. Nine artists were randomly assigned an area of the gallery with which to work. Made with watercolor, ink, gouache, latex paint and oil pastel, untitled(corner) wraps around two doorways in addition to the titular corner.  The uniform height of the painting echoes the width of each of the doorways, and the insistently watery, undulating lines served as a visual counterpoint to the rigid and interrupted lines of the room’s architecture.  (March 13-April 27, 2002 New Haven, CT )
Mark: September 11 was an installation consisting of 3,043 pieces of paper, one 2”x 5” piece to represent each victim lost on September 11, 2001. Each piece of paper was torn and painted  individually, and then sewn together with the rest to create a  visual count of lives lost. Created as an attempt to comprehend the enormous amount of life lost on September 11, 2001, this memorial installation was displayed in the Project Room at Artspace during  the month of September, 2002 in order to commemorate the year anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center.
